St. Just in Roseland and St Anthony in Roseland  Nowhere is the Roseland Peninsular more beautiful  than at St. Just where a small 13th century church stands on the water's edge at the head of a wooded tidal creek.  Near the tip of the Peninsular a wooded lane leads down to St. Anthony and a small 15c church standing alongside Place House, former home of the Spry family.  Legend has it that Jesus Christ called at St. Anthony and St. Just in Roseland while journeying through the region with Joseph of Arimathea on his way to Glastonbury.

St. Mawes and its Castle  A charming fishing village with steep lanes containing old cottages overhung with flowers.  At the mouth of Percuil River stands Henry VIII's coastal fort and gardens built in 1542 to protect Falmouth and Truro from invasion by the French. Constructed in a clover leaf design, it is a fine example of tudor military architecture. Nowadays St Mawes is a sailing Mecca and a centre for all sorts of water sports. There are many excellent hotels and restaurants
